Sideways to and from the church.......fucking ace :thumb:

PS~ see if you can buy that Metro back and give it to Bladerider. I'd love to see his 'mansized' frame drift that thing :D

A small update.

I have an engineer i use in York who is a GOD when it comes to turning, i have used him for many years to make me various parts from basic spacers to more intricate parts that need to be within thousands on an inch.

So, after doing some research i discovered that when the AE86, is lowered it knocks out the geomoetry of the suspension, this in turn creates bump steer as i mentioned earlier.

Now you can buy bump steer kits form Japan and they are all very nice looking but VERY expensive by the time you have them inported. So i've had some made..

The turn buckles are made from T6 grade aircraft allumium, it wasn't cheap... The pins that run through the steers arms are EN16 steel (hard as ****). The spacers are made from stainless steel, no rusting there then :-D .

The idea is that you can adjust the height of the outer ball joint, adjust it so when the suspension moves up and down the wheels stay pointing in the right direction.

All i have to do now is get the car so i can make sure they fit ok  :?

Well it finally feels like i'm getting somewhere !

Fitted the back axle today along with the calipers, hand brake cables.

The shockers are a temp measure until i can afford some adjustables, the car is sat high due to the lack of weight, i carried it outside like a wheel barrow.. :D

Wow, Mark you are a brave guy lol.

I love the AE86, being a Toyota fan, and this is looking like it is gonna be a FINE example. Top marks so far :thumb:

I will be watching your progress with great interest :)

Cheers guys.

Another day at it yesterday, this time doing the bit i hate with a passion, painting. I don't know why but i have never enjoyed it, but i can't afford to pay anyone else to do it so i bought some lash cans of bright yellow and cracked on with it yesterday :-D

A coat of laquer this morning will see the front and done. Then out with the paint brush inside the car before i can start puttting the loom back in.. Getting there... Slowly...
