A small update.
I have an engineer i use in York who is a GOD when it comes to turning, i have used him for many years to make me various parts from basic spacers to more intricate parts that need to be within thousands on an inch.
So, after doing some research i discovered that when the AE86, is lowered it knocks out the geomoetry of the suspension, this in turn creates bump steer as i mentioned earlier.
Now you can buy bump steer kits form Japan and they are all very nice looking but VERY expensive by the time you have them inported. So i've had some made..
The turn buckles are made from T6 grade aircraft allumium, it wasn't cheap... The pins that run through the steers arms are EN16 steel (hard as ****). The spacers are made from stainless steel, no rusting there then :-D .
The idea is that you can adjust the height of the outer ball joint, adjust it so when the suspension moves up and down the wheels stay pointing in the right direction.
All i have to do now is get the car so i can make sure they fit ok  :?
