Hi Guys not sure who is still on here nowadays but i thought i would continue the journey where it all began. After the best part of 5 years being laid up and toying with the idea of a replacement track car being purchased i decided to finish what i had started.Time for a rebuild....

Planned upgrades; Stage 1

Having done most of the work to the car i had never removed the engine so the bay needs tidying and paint,2.8 engine sourced to replace the 2.5,redo wiring, rear mounted fuel cell and swirl pot,get some more weight out and generally spruce the old girl up.

Stage 2
Turbo m50 engine  :auto:

All the best

Would be nice to see it on track again for a play. Metro is still going surprisingly!

Just a little update on one of the jobs i have been doing. One of the plans i had for the car was a single wiper conversion which in theory sounded easy enough but it is proving to be a little testing with the other bits i am doing on the bulkhead area. So i cut up the original mounting assy and installed the bush assy ( below ) into the bulkhead but the bulkhead flexed too much when in use.

So i then braced this up with some sheet metal and a piece of tube which worked ok .... but upon looking at it i came to the conclusion very quickly it looked shit and even though it would not be seen by anyone unless they dismantled the dash if i could not do better than that with the equipment i have at my disposal i need a right royal kick up the arse :)

As you can see it supported the bush assy but it looks gash so i set about and made the spindle assy below which is more in keeping of where i wish this build to go when possible :sifone:

i have also started to tidy up the bulkhead area .

Nice update, funny as fuck too. Nice to see that getting it functional and aesthetic was more important than just one :cheers2:

Love the all white colour scheme.
Makes me wonder if I should persevere with mine.....
