Re: JDM DC2 Type R (New Brakes and Oil catch can)

So the new discs I fitted were slightly larger than the worn items by about 2mm and after a proper test drive were still rubbing against the calipers on the front. I,ve had to space the caliper nearer the wheel and grind the carrier down to fit under my wheels as these are prelude brakes so bigger than standard teg brakes.

My mugen front bumper has arrived but thanks to UPS is damaged so jobs over the winter will be to repair and paint it and fit the mugen skirts I have in the garage.

Mugen skirts sanded down today and I managed to find some genuine mugen stripes for the side of the car.

The bumper is worse than it looks, paint is cracked and damage to fibreglass on drivers side and underneath so will require some work to look good. The skirts look much better after being sanded down. I got them from japperformance parts and wasn,t impressed when they arrived. They had been taped together with the worst tape I,ve seen and again in very poor condition that I nearly sent them back. After a couple hours with a sander all the tape came off and all the surface damage has nearly disappeared. They will need a little bit of filler and another sanding before I can get some primer on them.

This car already looked cool, but everything you've done is making it look even better. Top job.

The mugen stickers for the side arrived from America this week, thanks to royal mail for charging me £15 import duty! I also managed to find a engine torque damper for £20, not sure if it will make a difference but looks good in the engine bay. I,ve found someone with a full mugen twinloop exhaust for a good price so may be buying that as a xmas present to myself.
