That looked like a stunning day for driving, and I bet that curb woke you up a bit!!

It was an awesome day, great weather, car ran faultlessly and Christian was on top form behind the wheel. It was tough to get a clear/clean lap, all these slow Ferrari 458 Challenge cars getting in the way, plus Porsches and Radicals barely moving through the corners!

Eagle eyed viewers will note we drifted into the next post code at the Brooklands apex on that lap but we were mega there all day and caught many a driver napping as they all followed the "ABC of track driving" line there.

Great day, 5pm came waaay too soon.

Haha, yeah, nice of RMA to lay on those Ferrari shaped mobile chicanes :D There was definitely some serious missed apex action going on there, in fact looking at that footage I'm surprised that was the quickest overall. Must be the lack of traffic that did it.

Agreed, I could've kept lapping for another 8 hours!

The day was not without a little drama. On one occasion, entering Copse at over 150kph the back suddenly let go, took us both by surprise but as you can see, Christian handled it really well and we just carried on.

At first we thought it may be a slow puncture but I do remember thinking we'd run slightly wider out of Woodcote before this incident. There was a brand new tarmac strip laid just beyond the edge of the curb and I think we ran the outside of the left tyres onto it, probably picking up some sticky tar which would explain the sudden loss of grip. We had taken the corner as fast and on occasions slightly faster on previous laps with no drama.

Haha, but this time was s'posed to be keeping it together for a laptime...

Still only running 1.2 bar so can't wait to see what it's like on big boost, although there's so much for me to work on to find time it's not really worth winding it up

good fun though :D makes the first 50 odd pages of this thread worthwhile :sifone:
