Did a cambelt, aux belts and lash adjusters on one a few years ago. It was a 'challenge' lol.

They are pretty amazing cars. They go very well for such a heavy car. Nightmare to park as they are so wide.

I would nt touch it with a barge pole! Sorry. I'd rather go the 300ZX route, or maybe this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-BMW-SILV ... 2a36d7e774

Going over this thread again Maff, I think a Japanese six cylinder twin turbo may be cheap to buy, but that is where it ends.

Let's put it this way; would you buy a stock one for 3k? I bet you'd end up spending that all in and that's if you don't cock around with mods.

Its interesting seeing the different opinions. And yes point taken, any 6 cyl turbo japanese car is going push the bounds of "cheap".

One persons, "god its lardy" is anothers "svelt supercar".

I have decided against buying it, mainly because my little MG has been sitting in the garage for 10 years now and if I buy something else, i'll never bloody finish it.

If anyone else fancies it, I have contact details :)

Cheers all.

Just seen this and think you've made the right decision. They are pretty swift and tech heavy but are very lardy and as stu says you'd end up spending more than just the engine bill. For eg, if you use it as a toy it's going to just melt brakes even on stock power.

Worth a swerve in my opinion, but then so is that bimmer ;o)

Sitting here wondering which is the quicker the car or the fuel gauge but I do like these though I recon it could make the Scooby look fuel efficient
