Clio Sport 172

Having had a couple of years out off being on track and with the Golf gone, its time for a come back. The brother in law who is also a trackday veteran owns a Renualt Clio Phase 1 172 sport. We done a trackday at Snetterton in September and now he has a van for work, the Clio has come off the road and going to be used as a trackday toy, hopefully preparing and developing into a car for a race series for 2014/2015.

We are booked in to drive at Snetterton for the charity day, so the plan is to get are arses in gear and get it ready.



No really engine mods





First thing to do is strip interior, take out airbags and lose as much weight as possible


Next was to replace the seats and fit something abit more fitting



Next on the list was to fit a rear cage, first was to paint undercoat


First final coat


Then trial fit





So thats interior out, cage fitted, seats and harnesses in. just a few tweeks here and there and it should be job done ready for next weekend.
