Sounds like you had a good day with the car and tyres working well , also big respect for driving to the track . You must have confidence in the reliability of the car to drive to the track , it was always a worry for me driving to and from Santa Pod that i had to drive 100 miles back to home if anything broke . 458 GT3 spec that was genuinely on a different level and a decent spec Radical. May have been others but those two were proper fast.Tk wrote: Was there anything quick there to follow or just overtaking everything as usual

Pete, Chris, It wasn't so much a faith in the car as not being arsed with the logistics of getting my trailer which has been "winterised". But tbh I wasn't expecting not to get home as it does generally behave now.
Trev, as stu says, the GT3 458 was mental rapid and the Radical was going really well too. Other than that it was fairly quiet so had lots of empty track, but on the other hand nothing to play with... Be good to see you out, will you be scoobing or Jaffa?
Tommy, cheers pal but tbh I only tried it once or twice and am prettu sure there wasn't anything worth looking at. Will whip the SD card out and see when I get a chance and flick it over to you. I think I need to have a proper play with the pbox cos I've never really bothered - the one press lap timing didn't work for a start!!!

And in other news I may have found a solution to the foldy bonnet issues in the form of a Stout vented carbon bonnet.
I've been keeping my eyes open and am pleased to have bagged one of these as they have the "in" vent over the air filters aswell as the "out" over the turbos so that must be even better for under bonnet temps than simply the big vents in the middle that a lot of bonnets have.
Getting it from the GTR forum and a good price, although it's been painted so I guess I'll have to paint it too as I don't know if you can return it to Carbon once it's painted? Anyway, it should be here next week. In the meantime, here's someone elses..

As per Logan's comment, the paint can be stripped or you can rub down the top/clear coat and paint on top of that if the finish is good enough. Should be a good solution to your previous issues buddy.
Good luck
