Hi mate, nice overhaul of the car, I remember seeing it when it had that hideous bumper and spoiler.
RX8 wheels look good too, I almost put some on mine.
I feel for you on the power gain stakes, in theory mine should run 280ish bhp, but everytime I rolling road it I get a dissapointing figure (220-240 bhp),
I've done similar mods to you including a T28R but the auto gearbox lets mine down as it refuses to stay in gear for a power run on the dyno.
I've given up the number chasing now and am just happy thats its quick on track.
Glad too see you've done brakes and suspension too.

Very nice writeup and what a transformation. I was never a fan of Veilside stuff and that spoiler was always seen as hideous !!
Looks great what you have done with the car and it looks a real sleeper !!
One thing I would say is to ditch the Mazda wheel cap badges, there must be some Nissan ones that can replace them ?

Thanks for all the positive comment guys!
I'll keep updating this thread with whats going on!
I've got some other cosmetic stuff going on with it so I will blab on about that later!
I know I'm on bad road number chasing!
I suppose it is a bit because when I bought it it was supposedly 277bhp & would actually like it to be that power!!
Anyone got any idea's what to stick the badges on with? Was just going to use super glue

Couldn't find direct replacements, so I got some blanks from the US and some Nissan badges off ebay, just got to get around to putting them on.RX7 wrote:One thing I would say is to ditch the Mazda wheel cap badges, there must be some Nissan ones that can replace them ?

About time I update this, been stupidly busy at work! Who would think loads of people would want mattresses before xmas!
Anyways had the turbo fitted last month @ APT (Cheers Chris
), didnt fit the the tubular manifold as was advised it'll just cause lag at the tuning stage Im at.
Gary then put it on the rollers and it made just under 250bhp. Better than last time and slowly getting near my target figure. Decided to take the rocker cover off to have a look inside as Gary wasn't happy and found that the standard cams have been replaced with some unknown cams.
I cast my mind mind back a few years to when I got it and remembered the guy saying he had them changed, should have thought about that before!
As the chipped ECU isn't seeming to help, Gary advised to let him map it which meant going to a stand alone ECU. Obviously these don't come cheap and with my best option being the Apexi Power FC coming in at around
