Picking it up on friday :D

Currently on a mad rush to get the trailer right... adjusting brakes, bolting everything up etc! I have a Chemistry exam tomorrow and a Physics exam friday morning so not a lot of time really.

The guy is not going to include the 1.9 GTi wheels as he wants to keep them and the colways for rallying, but he is going to include a set of slicks, wets and Yoko A021Rs with 6 Rallye steels.

He also hasn't changed the clutch but thats a morning's work from what I've read.

We've ordered the roll cage which we will pick up while we're up there, also some number backgrounds, battery cut off switch and get the fire extinguisher we have refilled and tested.

We're aiming to have 'testing' at the RWYB sprint at the Retro-Rides show at Mallory park and then do a couple of trackdays later in the year :)

Picked it up, along with the roll cage which i'm in the process of fitting :) It sounds lovely now I've put the standard backbox on to replace the excessively loud, straight through box that was on there!

Needs an air filter to begin with, but it seems to go and run nicely :)

Will keep updated.

No danger of it failing a noise test then - good thinking :)

When is its first official outing?

11th August, but i'm on holiday for a fair amount of that time so I need to get going!

I also need to change the clutch, check the brakes etc and generally go over the whole car and make sure everything is fine.

Doesn't look like much is going to happen today.... RAIN.

Damn.

I need a bigger, empty garage.
