hi daren sent you pm ,my oakie Before or after?

before
it was bent like a bannana but looked good

after i wedged it under a tipper lorry and bent the a pillar #-o

i don't think this car will ever return to the road its a bit patchwork quilted underneath so thats the ring out the window nice try though rob  ,will have to pop round and see your new toy soon but i'm doing 74 hour weeks at the mo , all i seem to do is work eat and sleep it really blows :x

hi steve vr looking forward to karting in a couple of weeks it'll be a blast :thumb:
ooh one last thing, i have a set of origional ats cups if i use them on this am i likely to trash them ? they don't fit on my mk1 as they wont fit over the 280mm discs/capipers ,and they'd look the tits on the mk2 just don't want to distroy them

Why would you trash them?

i,ve never done anything like this before so i don't quite know what to expect when we get out there

maybe trash isn't a good way to discribe what i ment

i think damage the outer rim if i were to get a little carried away is a better discription ,there a bit on the rare side (5 1/2" made in 80's instead of the 7" made in the 90's& oo's that you normally see ) so if i'm asking questions maybe its not a good idea

will keep them for sprinting instead :-D

I'd sell the cups, they are making quite good money at the moment, and go for a cheap set of wheels just for the track. Also i'd stay for a 15" rim, no need to go any bigger unless you are going for a bigger brake setup but a 16v setup is more than enough :-D How far are you going with the spec? Stripping interior, cage?

This car has the early 16v setup which has only got 239mm discs :o but has a larger bore master cylinder . i think cars from 89/90 on have 256mm ,

dunno on spec yet lets just see how good it is first , i think all the trims gonna come out of it and a set of buckets and belts fitted to start along with a fair bit of welding and a general check over brakes/suspension and replace the belts/ oil and setup of the engine and tracking ,

know where there's an abf lumps :-k

I like the new motor. Whats wrong with the wheels that are one there at the mo?
How hard can it be? Really?

Another MK2 :)

I have the 280mm G60 front brakes, Yellowstuff pads and never get ANY brake fade after repeated hard braking. Even on the Bedford GT circuit for an hour of hard driving on 888`s, the brakes were still as good as lap 2.

Get some 15`s as they are a nice size for cheap 888`s, 280mm brakes if possible and so long as you dont go silly on power, it should be sufficient.

mine has a 2.0 ABF, 172 BHP and I have great fun :thumb:

You can't fault Yellow Stuff pads, like Nige I've never had any fade, they love some heat.
