As soon as I hear the words 'bodge' I cringe. Make sure any decisions you make regarding the work that you do to the car are decisions you can stand behind afterwards, i.e don't do it if you can't live with the aggro.

Cutting corners with cars can bite you on the arse like a great white.

yeh i know what you mean stu, the sump has held up for 9 months how it is but recently its got drips coming out of it. it needs the engine oil changing now and taking it off and trying to put it back on agian is only going to make it worse im going to try putting PTFE tape round it and see how tight i can get it if i think its ok ill continue to drive the car for special occasions only if not, it will be off the road for quite a while.

but like i said it will be off the road for a while but when it goes back on it should be a monster.
