thats bad news mate, if that lorry driver hit my R and didnt care :x , i would rip his effing head off.

i reckon it will be a write off, what the insurance company will do is probably ask nissan how much body panels are, and it will be un economical to repair.

Feck - bastard!! - sorry to hear mate - they will have to assess the car - so if it was touch and go - as my golf was when it was hit - I got my mate chris to quote it up with genuine parts and non genuine parts to see if we could make it more acceptable to the insurance company .... we did and they actually gave me the choice of take the money or repair my car - I went for the repair - remember you choose who assesses the car for you as you are the victim.

cheers sunnyjim i might take you up on the offer, i already have a headlight and flat bonnet, so i will need ofside wing/indicator/lower metal trim below the grill/ and a bonnet if i decide not to go flat,

i didnt realise i had the choice as who asseses the car , i had a guy come round thursday that the legal cover people sent, i havent heard anything back yet as he said he would have to research panels etc as it was an import ,he didnt know what the car was, even asked if it was petrol or diesel :o

I rephrase what I mean by assess .... I meant you can choose the garage to do the work - they will do a quote - the assessor will review the quote - but also review the vehicle - When Chris did my car he showed them what he had discovered showed them the quote - they then gave me the choice.
