Coltishall Track Day Follow Up

Well I dont really know where to start!
What a fantastic and well organised day and a fantastic track to boot. The mix of fast/slow corners was just right.
The grouping and session system worked really well. Although when I pulled into our group, me being a complete newbie to trackdays was amazed to be joined by a Ferrari 360. I thought I was a little under power and a little out of my depth:lol:
But all that power on a wet track and what happens? Yes Mr Ferrari Man you will spin and the subaru will just keep going at almost the same pace as in the dry, which resulted in any rear wheeled drive car being at a complete disadvantage, oh why didnt it stay wet!
Well I learnt a number of things today, and it was really exciting to see what my scoob can really do away from public roads! Anyone who has never taken your car on a track really should, its a big an eye opener
Main lesson learnt were:
The brakes are rubbish new pads and braided hoses are about to be ordered as after five laps coming upto a corner pushing 120 and no brakes is scary.
The scoob generates alot of understeer, controlled but needs tweaking New set of coilovers on the way
You should always check your tyres before going out on the next run, not rely on the car next to you to point out that your tyres shouldnt be down to the metal wire. (Someone in our group)
Dont paint your wheels, just before the day as they will flick paint everywhere! (Dannyboy Scoobycity)
And if your a passenger and your going to be sick, its nice to let the driver know
A Fantastic Day, and a big thank you to all the organisers. Pics and Vids to follow
