I've done the Indy circuit before and the corners where you can unstuck are numerous!!

The trickiest, in my opinion, is the downhill right after the start finish. The combination of high speed, blind entry and seemingly adverse camber make it a bit of a leap of faith. However, the instructors will build you up to this gradually and you will be taught the turn in, apex and exit so you'll be well prepared for the bend. That maxim follows for the whole circuit, let your instructor guide you around feeling one corner link to the next. One of the best things about the Indy circuit is the way it flows.
I presume you're doing the normal thing of saloon cars in the morning and then into the Formula Audis later on??

Best of luck, I'm sure you'll have a tremendous time, just watch out for the rev limiter!! ;)

done about 80 laps there... lovely lovely circuit

paddock hill bend - very slippy when wet be careful cos the car goes light just after the apex/crest and can run wide

druids - not too bad so long as you get the approach speed right

graham hill bend - again slippy when wet but is lovely if smooth on the power through it

surtees - i think this is the hardest because of the change of direction into maclaren and can spin you round and round

all in all a great circuit and where the british GP should be held IMO :D

Oh my god!!!!!! What a day it was.

It was crazy, you see paddocks hill on tv or even in the grandstand and it doesnt look too bad :o , the first time ever on the track and the instructer hammered it round there, i shat myself cause damn its steep!!!

After 10 laps in the 225bhp megane(which were surprisingly fast) we went in the single seaters. Nothing can beat them, even with the 4k limiter. Even though i had 13 laps it felt like 5minutes. The only thing that made up for it was at the end i finished the race in position 1, even though we werent racing  . Once i work it out, ill get the video up and my track printout.

After looking back i can see i would of been rubbish without the instructor because i kept braking going into the left after cooper straight and he just said 'go flat out in 4th' through it (i thought he was crazy) so i did it and it was fine, after that i gained a hell of a lot of confidence.

Anyone thinking of doing a day like this, dont think just do it because it was awesome!!

PICS TO FOLLOW.

I have done the exact same day Robin. 8)
I did enjoy it but i so wish that the cars did not have those pesky limiters on and to be honest by the time you get used to the car and circuit its time to come in again!!
I came 1st in my group to mate, main problem i had was trying to get round people so i could get a clean lap in!!
Its a lovely track but very short.
