MLRSS 2013: Round 7- Teesside FINAL! MLR Vid Added

Post by Danny@APT »

This Saturday evening brings the 2013 MLR Sprint Series to it's thrilling flood-lit finale at the Teesside Autodrome! :D

Logan has taken the Championship honours, but Class D is still wide open with both Logan and Liddy close at the top- a win by Liddy would tie them on points, but take the Class by his better lap-time average. Gary is tied for third with Kenny1, but with Kenny's car broken, a 4th place would claim Mr Hayward the bottom step on the podium. Third place Overall is still Gary's for the taking, providing Kenny finishes behind him.

Results!! :D

I'm sure Danny, Logan or Gary will confirm this but I believe that Logan won overall and came second in class D, with Gary coming third in class D :hurray:

A fine result for the Flying Scotsman and to win the series two years on the trot is no mean feat in any event, let alone something as competitive as the MLR Sprint Series.

A cracking result for Gary too. A lack of seat time has always hampered his chances but this season a more confident driver and more settled car in terms of spec and consistency have seen plenty of points and some great times too!

Chuffed for Team APT and everyone involved with the support package ;)

Not quite Stu- 2012 was a poor year for Logan while we tweaked the car for class D after a late start to the season, though 2011 was better with winning class C and second overall.

Nevertheless, it was a hard fought battle to the wire, with lots of stoppages meaning cold tyres and patchy rain showers making the moss-strewn track different every lap. No sooner did Logan finally find the 3 tenths to close the gap to 1st, then Liddy moved the goalposts again by another 3 tenths! :D

I'll get the vids up when I get a chance.
Finishing off the Ford ;)
