Snetterton 8th April videos

Having done god knows how many track days in the Scoob at Snett et all, it was time for something completely different.

Myself and James (Fezza) decided to brave the lunacy that is a bike trackday! Neither of us had done this before and I can only speak for myself, but I was super fucking terrified at the very thought.
But, nerves aside we arrived at the usual venue only to see a whole host of trucks/vans carrying everything a rider could possibly want for the day, which if I'm honest didn't help my frazzled state of mind.
Next up was the briefing, and this mainly consisted of "don't kill yourself" and little else! Although they did keep us novices behind after the briefing for a few extra words of caution.
So, after taking to the hallowed tarmac on two wheels for the very first time I have to say it beats anything on 4 wheels hands down!
I've kinda got to grip with setting up a car for some reliable track fun, but on a bike it's a whole different ball game! Cold tyres on 4 wheels can be fun, but on 2 wheels it's arse pinchingly pure terror.

What I can say that after the day out, it was the single most fun I've ever had (clothes on or not), the sheer amount of concentration needed to stay on the black stuff is almost indescribable, but very very tiring. Loved every minute of it.

Some vid's (fast forward past the warm up laps) & switch to HD

Me chasing James...

I'm going to do much much more of the above and soon :drool5:

Hats off to you jon!
It takes proper guts (or a headcase ;)) to head out on track with a bike. Ive a good friend Jason that does a lot of bike days and the number of times over the years that he or someone in his party has dropped it is scary!

Great read Jon and impressive videos :) I admire anyone prepared to jump on two wheels. The buzz, according to you Power Rangers, is totally off of the scale compared to most cars and having pillioned on fast bike a few years ago it gave me a small insight into the ferocity of the sheer physics.
