Post by Tonynos »

Anybody going to watch the first rally held at Snetterton since 2003 on Sunday?

I went along to this and had a good day even with all the fog. There was a really good selection of cars competing and seeing the 300 circuit being run backwards was pretty interesting. Here's a few photos of some of the cars in the paddock and a link to my photos of some of the days action.

Some cracking machinery there and some nice photos as well. The fog suited a rally event and reminded me of the days we use to go to watch Rally GB in wales. Love the sequence of pics of the evo spinning:thumbs:

Cheers Pablo. The fog certainly did make it feel like a proper rally.

the red evo spinning is a guy from colchester who used to sprint, he also has a metro 6r4 rep and a t25 pug (or used to) i didnt know he has started rallying

i know if i had the funds it would be my first choice in motorsport to compete in

Trev, is that a guy called Barry something?
Some great cars there and I'm disappointed that I missed it...I just couldn't face the cold and damp when I'm full of cold and snot.
Rally cars, like these, seem somehow more authentic and real world compared to many competitive circuit cars. The E30 deserves to be a car in our 'auto smut' thread; stunning!

T'was a good event, my club & WAC ran it, like the old days! :)

Red GpA Evo is Dave Daniel, was rallying before sprinting! - talbotspares.com - has lots of toys, many Sunbeams, hence the website, a Mid mounted Honda/Rover V6 Pug 205, YBT powered 6R4 rep, an boreham GpA Focus, etc! Lucky boy!

Nice pics! The yellow '6R4' was another rep.(not Dave's)
