June 16th BigPower Track night

Our first private track evening of the Summer brings back an established favourite. This event is just about perfect for anyone who has always wanted to have a go on a proper race circuit but was always worried about wear and tear or damaging their pride and joys whilst on circuit, with other less considerate drivers.

The format will be as follows;

1) We will divide drivers in to groups based on their experience levels. This will be broken down into group A, the Virgins and Novices (two track days or less) and then a separate session for those with more experience which will be group B.

2) The guys listed in the Novice group will have an additional 20 minute question and answer session with experienced circuit drivers to ease you into what to expect when you're out there on Snetterton's tarmac. This will include simple to follow guidelines for the evening, the basics of car maintenance for the event and car control. This will be before the normal mandatory safety briefing that all drivers on the night will attend after they have signed on.

Signing on will start from 4pm
Noise testing which is mandatory from the same time. All cars must be less than 105dB when tested.
Novices briefing will start at around 4.30pm
Full safety briefing will start at 5.00pm
We will start on track at 5.30 sharp and run until approximately 8pm as follows;

5.30pm Group A
5.50pm Group B
6.10pm Group A
6.30pm Group B
6.50pm Group A
7.10pm Group B
7.30pm Both groups subject to overall circuit limit of 36 cars on track at any given time. This session will be at the discretion of the organisers subject to the conduct of drivers throughout the evening. The more incidents of poor driving (for example red and black flags) the less likely we will be to run this as a mixed session. Behave and you will get more track time.......simple.

There will be the possibility of passenger laps with the more experienced drivers if that is of help or encouragement to anyone. I am sure that there will also be a bunch of us that will be happy to come out in your cars to offer some tips (not coaching ;) ) in your first few laps.

For the more experienced drivers, Group B's sessions are designed to allow you to get out there and stretch the cars legs in a relaxed environment without worrying about other track users and potentially spoiling their evening as well as yours. Normal rules of courtesy apply :)

Would you class 3 times at RAF Marham as a Novice to circuit driving or would that put me in group B?
