introduction to sprinting

mentioned this to gerryh earlier today and he seemed quite keen and thought it might be worth posting.
not sure if anyone is aware, but curborough are running an introduction to sprinting day on the first bank holiday sunday in may, not only a good introduction to sprinting but possibly a chance to pick up tips on the curborough circuit itself. maybe sucking eggs for some of the regulars but hard to turn your nose up at what is essentially free tuition and track time.

below is a copy of the email i received from sdcc
The Introduction to Sprinting Day at Curborough is designed
to do exactly that with no restrictions. It is totally free - join the
queue on the day (no pre-booking) from 9.30 (first batch 10.00am) to
around lunchtime - and no requirements for helmets, suits etc. All you
need is a road legal car. We take everybody through all aspects of
getting involved in Sprinting from club membership, competition
licences, regulations, scrutineering presentation to a limited amount
of time with an instructor on the track. Just turn up and enjoy.
We already have quite a few members and competitors in the East
Midlands (including me) - so the more the merrier. I hope to see you
there.
Shenstone & DCC members also have access to the track in other ways
but these can be explained separately or on the day.
