Guys
After reading the various posts on various forums about handicap systems and a very enlightening chat with a gentleman with seven years experience of running a series that uses one, I feel it's time to ask for opinions.
How fair was it?
I have been assured that if the system is used throughout a season with a mixture of long and short sprints to allow for gearing and power, wet and dry weather to balance grip and traction; then we whould get a fair set of results.
Thoughts? (I need your feedback in the next 3 days for this to be considered)
Thanks

Further to Stuart's post, we've had a look through the AEMC champ. Listing for 2009 and have selected seven, plus one additional, events to count for the BigPower Sprint Champ. A handicap calculation system based on power weight and drivetrain will be applied to allow a more level playing field. Your car

I was thinking that we'd run in two distinct classes Gerry, with MSA entries for those with the appropriate licence and a separate class for those that want to see what the thrill of competition is about.
The non-licenced guys will be by invite only.

I presume that applies to the Snetterton round only. I was expecting that you would make a separate announcement for Snett, as it's a big club event.
