Just did Donington for the first time yesterday and absolutely fell in love with the track. It's just so technical and challenging. It may well have taken the place of Cadwell as my fav track. Rather than post photos (video will come in 2-3 weeks when I get back from holiday) I thought I'd post output from my RaceLogic Performance Box since I can't recommend it enough as a performance tool.

The graph is my best lap (1:30.4, blue) and Chris (1:30.3 red), plotted as speed vs distance. It's probably meaningless without the track map so that's posted as well.

For the analytically minded, you can zoom into the track map, and see the lines you take along the track. You just need to overlay the borders of the track itself although I've not used this feature yet. You can position the cursor on the line graph then move along it and the cursor moves correspondingly along the track map. Therefore you can see where you started braking and powering back on and, of course, your speed. The best feature for me and Chris is that we can put both our best laps onto the same graphs and then compare. He usually carries more speed, I brake later. Strangely enough though, he also manages to get the car to accelerate harder. It may be something to do with our gearchange points.

Peak speed was 113.58 before braking for the chicane. Peak speed at the end of Craner was 97.54.

Oh, and here's a G Circle (oh so Gran Turismo):

I share your thoughts about Donington Tommy. Cadwell is a great circuit, but is doesn't match Donington (well not in my opinion)

Interesting that you should mention the Performance Box too. A few of us have been discussing this recently and after my own experiences with a very similar product I think buying another one is the next logical step.

No point pounding around a circuit all day, if you don't know how you're doing.
