JISC 2008 Promotion/sponsorship????

Post by blacky »

Andy/Spence

Any plans to promote the series, or gain some sort of sponsorship for it??

I have just been thinking that it needs a bit of promotion to get the entry list up, and maybe if we had like championship stickers for the cars etc this may get some more interest throughout the season.

On teh Sponorship side, this could just be as small as helping with the trophies whilst putting their names onto the championship literature.

Also, would be great to have e-maileed updates of the standing after each event etc, so the entrants can see where they stand etc??

I am happy to muck in if required :D

All good ideas chap, and most of them are being persued. The per event email and updated website is very important, and we have a few possibilities for sponsorship.

Unfortunately we are ridculously busy through xmas and all the way up to Autosport, but should have a bit more time to devote by mid Jan. It should have all come together by the awards night (23 Feb).

Cheers

Andy

Oh and thanks for the offer of help btw, it would be good to get some of the competitors involved in the running of things and take ownership of the champs (as long as it is deemed not to result in a conflict of interest by the MSA)

Logan,

Any help in promoting the JISC would be very much appreciated! Generally the costs are quite low in running the championship so sponsorship isn't essential; although nicer tin ware for the awards night for a name swap is always an option. We have to tread carefully because that can be offset by the MSA regrading the championship! As the MSA would need to know, I would need to get that info ASAP.

Anyone wishing to get involved with promotional stuff feel free to include suggestions here, but please be willing to chip in and help out! This could include:

Discussions on internet forums?
Pursuing magazine coverage?
Improved logo design / better website links?
Promotional materials (leaflets / stickers etc)?

I'm sure you guys can come up with more and better options anyway - please discuss :P

Magazine features will be a doddle, Phil Royle is about to sign up as a trader/member and that's his speciality :D

Promotional materials........easy. Sunstrips with logos, number panels for the doors with logos again. The list of potentials is endless, defined and restricted only by your budget.

If it can get a mention in Jap performance I reckon the numbers would definately flurish! Especially if said Mr Royle is going to be entering!

Magazine coverage - awesome. Was trying to get a mention in Banzai but it never materialised.

Dunc- if that is an offer of help for the website it would be appreciated. Ren was going to help but he is maxed at the mo. If I update the info can you make it prettier?

Cheers all!
