Gerry was kind enough to ring me to spread the news that there are tyre changing facilities at the event this weekend.
Great news for anyone attending. Make sure you take some money for donations :thumb:

Sorry to hear about the engine Lee, was that you at the sideof the track, between the pit straight and long left hander onto the main straight?
If it was. you were there for an age while the rest of us collected into a 20mph train.
Good to put names and faces to user names. Had a good chat with JJ at last, Jazzmonkey, Pike
Woody? Matt, (without who's help I'd still be looking for Marham :thumb:) GrahamSTi? who ought to show himself as he has a superb, unmolested, other than coilover suspension, rear brakes and up-dated interior, that I want, RA 8) . If you read this Graham, it was really nice talking Scooby with you
Nearly forgot to mention, it was also good to see a certain, familiar, yellow, Cobra, still going strong and sounding sweet right up to the final flag
Hope the Sunday crew have as good a time as we did and it stays fine for you.

Well another successful trackday at Marham. A big thanks to BP and all at Marham for making it possible :thumb:
The day went as follows:
Got to Thickthorne at 6am to see Jim already there. Made our way around 6.30 to Marham, stopping off at McD's at Swaffham for a coffee. Got to Marham about 7.30. Took car off trailer and waited for signing on and briefing. With this all out of the way, first session ready to go at 9.30.

The BP posse gathered together, sharing their stories of the first couple of sessions. We were all quite suprised with turn out of cars, nothing like the amount of Aprils event. No Lambo's or Ferrari's, but a mixture of track toys.

Lunch soon came, and once stomach's were full and cars were rested the afternoon session started. There was 1 session after lunch then it went to open pit lane as there was so few cars. This gave us the chance for a good play around. But alot of us had tyre issues!!!
Jims tyres at the end of the day

Ian had fun and games with his wheels studs!!

*WARNING*
Please read carefully!!
Jim offered to take me round near the end of the day, there was only about 3 other cars out with us. Oh my god, i never knew cars could go round a bend at the angle we did. I was laughing so hard and so much that i thought i was going to pi$$ myself, then to top it off, we hit some cones which got stuck under the car, and some how wedged Jims door so he couldn't get out. So if Jim ever offers anyone a pax ride, walk the other way quickly!!!!! (only joking Jim, I'll remember that ride for a long time :-D )
Finished and packed the car up ready to leave around 4.30ish. A top day. Nice to meet a few more BP members, I hope whoever i gave pax rides to enjoyed
The old girl in all her glory!!

I am so knackered!!
Just finished my tea (takeaway Pizza and cold chips
) after dropping Pete and the Sierra off, driving into town, collecting Rob and his mystery project, driving to the unit, dropping him off and the car. Detaching the trailer, back into town dropping Rob off too and then doing an hour at work!
And relax........
Firstly a public thanks to Keith and his team for an excellent weekends activities. I am sure welcoming lots of civilians into the Crowns domain must raise all sorts of problems not normally encountered on a traditional trackday and I thought your guys did a sterling job, well done :thumb:
On a personal level, the Sierra clocked up its 49th event and its new indicated top speed of 138 on the back straight. This was with a little drafting using Lee and his AX on the back straight
Pete has bought the Sierra from me recently and this was his third outing. He is gaining confidence rapidly and, by virtue of trial and error, learning that smooth is best 8)
He absolutely annihilated the Formula R's with some really determined lapping

Oh well............on with the Toyos.
The cars in attendance were varied with everything from Old school cool

to old school crap

Ultimas

M3's

and some very, very powerful Supras

This particular example with 700bhp at the wheels on his road map typified why the Toyotas ruled the roost in terms of grunt. With huge top speeds and lurid power over steer at will, they made a great spectacle.
The boys from Watton had a disappointing day to put it mildly. Paul's first session saw a dead gearbox and that was that for their 306. Gutted for you guys.
Ian/Persil was going steadily but well enough in the replica Nismo R33

Nik looked like he was enjoying the S12 but had more racing excuses than Bladey

Les was quite impressive in his 328. Well presented and quick. Fair play.

Hannah was doing great in the Cobra.

Looked and sounded fantastic and I had to resort to very ungentlemanly tactics to squeeze passed on the straight..........sorry :P
Ian Davies was pretty conservative almost like he wished his E30 325 was still there to play with. Still sounded great though Ian....just sort out that bloody splitter you big girl

Lee and his Dad were driving like getaway drivers all day. The AX was in fine form (Couldn't get passed the Destroyer though, could you?
)
Ray looked like he was having a right laugh.......getter quicker too mate.

Er.............that's about it. So in summary, it was well organised, cheap, with loads of track time and all of you that didn't attend either today or yesterday are all shandy drinking pub goers
