Japanese Intermarque Sprint Challenge 2007

Post by ESL »

Hi all

We are running a MSA sanctioned Jap Sprint Series this year with six dates predominantly in the Midlands and South East (North Weald, Debden, Bentwaters, Silverstone and the like).

Sprinting is an excellent and inexpensive entry into competitive motorsport, is a more rounded discipline than drag racing as you have to negotiate corners and allows you to find the boundaries of your car in relative safety.

There are 3 classes: Standard (induction and filter), Road (road tyres, MoT, tax) and Max (slicks, aero, carbon, etc).

You will need an MSA non race national B licence,

Welcome to the site Andy :wave2:

I will have a look at the website tomorrow, sounds very interesting. I take it the wings and slicks racers won't be running in this series then?

Hi Stuart

There will be single seaters and all sorts there, the championship is based on 6 invited events from different MSA clubs. You will run in the MSA category on the day (there is a direct read across from the JISC category) and score points in the JISC Championship.

There is no fee for joining the Championship, but it is closed to club, so membership of the Harrow Car Club (

My point about the Jap cars was more to qualify whether I need to use the GTR or the DD :D

DD?

The champ is for Japanese Cars only, but there is nothing to stop you entering other classes for fun :)

This looks interesting :)

Anyone else thinking about giving it a go? Much cheaper than time attack!

It would be good to have some of you guys along, I'd heard there were alot of doers here

Makes sense when weve spent so much time and cash on the cars to use them properly
