I really want to do this event but cant afford to pay till end of this month

Always space for a paying punter and I'll be bringing my Dagenham special as well as the Datsun, so you won't be alone. Taking your bike out on the track may be pushing things slightly as the Ring is still the only place allowing 2 and 4 wheels to spar regularly.

Sadly, it'll never happen - partly because the marshall training you need is too different (you don't go looking for the kill switch on a car).

Snetterton would bring up the age old debate of which is faster, bikes or cars....now, there are so many different levels to that argument (and I do not wish to provoke a flame war), but on the whole, cars are pretty tough to beat on twisty tracks, simply because you can brake so late and corner so fast.

But Snetterton is a completely different kettle of fish...I know a decent Caterham lap time (Challenge racing) is around 1.26...anyone round here timed themselves round Snett?

I did 1.31 in the slippery wet before christmas - I am sure that in the dry it would be lowish 1.20's
