On the friday morning got up and was exspecting snow or aleast a heavy frost but nothing and the roads where actually dry.

And as brands is only about 40 mins away i couldn,t believe my eyes when came up the hill to the entrance of brands it was totally white and frozen.

And the track wasn,t much better they had a tractor running round spraying deicer on to the track and sending round as many brands vehicles as they could the track surface was at -3 degrees.
It looked like the sun was going to come out then the clouds got a bit thicker.

About 9.45 they let us out on the track to do some sighting laps which i think was a good idea to try and bed some of the deicer in to the track and put some heat from the cars to the surface.

Once out on track man it was slippery through graham hill bend where i had a bit of a rear end slide So pulled it back into the garage and softened the rear shocks off.
I was running the car on the new yokahama AD08 which i was very impressed with.

I had another person driving the car as well the car run faultless we must of done nearly 45 laps between us.

Thanks to dave for the coffee and the heaters.

Looking forward to next year was going to sprint the car but think i will give it a miss for another year.
Won,t to get a little more power out of the golf and treat it to a little diet.
Ready for a ring trip etc.

Hear are a few more pics of the day.

Hope you all have a nice christmas and new year

All the best mike

The Golf looks well on the ATS rims Mike, and I'm glad that the Yoko's turned out well.

Your observation about the changeable nature of the weather is spot on. We've had savage frost again, with everything getting frozen up. 60 miles away in Colchester, Trev tells me that they've had 8 to 10 inches of snow!!

Go careful out there people. Trips to see family should be very carefully judged......not that I'm making excuses about visiting Bandit country at the weekend!

I was feeling very envious reading through the posts and thinking that I had put the toy away a little early but looking at the photo`s and vidio plus the early track closure took the edge off the disapointment.

But well done to everyone who went or tried to go and good to see no damaged cars
