It`s a good event Lee because there are two different courses that ask different questions of car and Driver, excellent if you wanted to limit the sprints you enter as it represents good value and supports some good charities

Morning fella's

Just about returning to a normal colour after some bad sunburn on my head and face from Saturday!!

Excellent event, ran loads smoother than last year, they had 3 ques fort Scrutineering so that was pretty quick affair compared to last year.

The new GTR is an awesome bit of kit, watched it finish a couple or run and it looked so composed, no roll. no pitch, nothing!! Thats my excuse anyway.

As always, when unde pressure I drove as hard as I could, and again, as always, you can always go faster but thats Sprinting! In the morning on the Abingdon course I overdrove tha final timed run on the last fast lefthander to the finish, went in too quick and had to lift, then went into a big 4 wheels drift and lost time, I'm sure it looked good but was slow.

In the afternoon I was determined to beat the might of the GTR but again, was beaten by 0.25 or so....oh well, least I tried, I bogged the start on the last run slighty after having perfect launches all day I did take off 1.5 seconds from the Abingdon course from last year, and 1.7 seconds from the Bentley course so I was trying!!

I was very impressed with my new suspension set-up, makes the car corner more flat, and I flet I had more grip, there is more set-up to do tho, need to lower it a touch and twiddle with the damping and rebound a bit....then I think I should be a bit quicker, all I need then is more power, better brakes, lighten the car, get faster myself etc etc.....

All in all a great day, Harry and Russ seemed to be having a ball....and they defo have more time in them with more experience and practice!! They were improving everytime out, so well done chaps!!

Good to heaer you all enjoyed Abingdon.

Can someone post D10 results when they're available please?

Logan, I don't know how accurately they lay out the courses year to year. My lasty year's times were slower than the previous although I'd fully expected to have been quicker.

I will do when I get them through Gerry.

The courses seemed virtually identical as far as I could see.

They're the same basic layout but there's possibly slight differences.

Dunno!

Apparently there was an accident during yesterday's Rally day with spectators injured.

Maybe...who knows, but looking at the class records, if it wasn't for that GTR I would now be holding both of them :!:

Yes, 2 marshalls, 1 photographer and the co-driver were injured I heard...not nice!!

You doing Debden in July???

So that means the GTR holds them! Till next year

Don't know what I'm doing atm. You know my feelings towards Debden.

Steve Cox has very kindly sent the handicap results for Abingdon. With a bit of luck, they're here:
