I will try to ensure that they are working, but in any event, don't follow me or my braking. I might not know what I'm doing ]

Just to add a little to that advice. If you're looking to learn lines, do it from a distance rather than close up. The person you're following might just get it wrong :-D

On the subject of a licence/proof of experience, why not introduce an MSA style signature card? I had to go up to the race control office at Snett and was quite surprised to see that every part of the track is covered by an array of CCTV screens being watched by a couple of officials who are also in contact with the various marshall posts. Presumably this is the case at all circuits? If so, the observers could sign each drivers card for driving standard, i.e. poor driving results in no signature, or worse, a negative comment. 1-5 signatures = novice; 6 - 10 inter and 10 + advanced. Signature card to be handed in at registration and bear licence details for i.d.

BTW, there are good first timers and poor experienced imo.

2p :)

Didnt Sterling Moss have a switch for his brake lights to switch them off and force people behind to miss their braking brakes ?

Racing in a series of some kind is expensive and often needs dedicated time away from work etc to compete but TBH a lot of you guys skills are way way beyond most of us. I think Stuart and Duncan, Gary etc will fully understand when i say all this I think you have got to the rock and hard place! Far too good for the basic days but possibly cant or dont want to attempt a full on series of events.
I dont think that is true, the faster you are the easier it is. I know with 400 horses it was a lot easier to overtake than it was with 200. I know when the GTI is done it'll struggle at Snetterton.

Also I don't think you were being to aggressive Stuart. I'll sit on a cars bumper if they don't move over after they've missed a few chances to pull over. You have as much right to be there and drive at your own speed as they do.

Who was the TDO? I noticed on the Javellin day I did the overall pace on the day was slower compared to an MSV or book a track event. Maybe we'll all have to be more selective about who we book trackdays with in the future.
