Just got back! I`m knackered!!!!
Only three bp members showed today! :o Gerry- I would have texted you this morning, but in my haste to leave last night, i drove off with my phone on the roof of the car! by the time i could turn round and pick it up, half the village had driven over it! :x Logan filled us in on the whole story though- Realy feel for you bud! seriously!:( Simi did`nt show up as well?
Trev- It was`nt the same without you! :-D No one to spa with all day- harry does`nt count! Logan and richard in the R35 gtr were off playing there own little battle out front- Logan just lost out (dont beat your self up to much mr B, just think of the tech he had helping him out!) Then harry and I were some six seconds behind them! So i think it went in class 05,
1 Richard
2 Logan
3 Russell (again!)
4 harry
And ofcourse- Stu you were also missed, as we had no one taking the piss out of us! :-D

Sorry for letting the side down chaps but that's what happens. When working to the modern protocols of Just in Time, it often results in Just Too Late. :x

Glad you all enjoyed it and sorry to hear that Logan has had a taste of what I've been bleating about for ages. The Evo tricky diffs have now been eclipsed by Nissan tricky everything. :o

Any idea of the D10 result?

Sorry Gerry! I did`nt catch any of the other results! Richard in the nissan had got a fair idea of driving, having previously owned an evo6 a scoob and a mental Dax Rush! :o On the abingdon course, R35 was only 0.25 ahead (i Think) and the bently course it was half a second-ish? quicker than logan! I did surgest that to keep an even playing field, fuse`s should be pulled on A.B.S, traction controls, launch controls etc...... Funny it did`nt go down very well! :-D
Trev- yes the coilovers are great! :) It still needs fettling, running little camber on fronts and to low tyre pressures, I dont do change very easily, so little changes at a time- i could`nt let go of the understeery wobble bus just yet! :-D I will mess about with settings on tuesday at the bp night!
How the cider hangover? :-D

Hello Gerry so very sorry to hear of your misfortunes it would bring a little justice to events if you could introduce their sticky fingers to a Turbo or two. Hope the car is ok and that every thing is on the u from here on Harry

Abingdon Sprint
What an excellent event a great shame Gerry couldnt make it perhaps next year.

As for B5 PB were well represented by Logan, Russ and me so we had 3 of the 4 spots covered, interesting to run on 2 different circuits on the same day Abingdon was particularly fast and as ever logan was off like a scalded cat only to be reigned in by the GTR but dispite this he was a mine of information about breaking points and what gear to use at what part of the circuit thanks logan perhaps one day I will be able to make better use of the advice.

A few personal dramas on this course mainly due to more ambition than ability but next time I want to take a few more seconds off my times.

The GTR shaded this circuit which pleased Richard ( the 4th Member of B5) but even though he looked pretty capable he did comment that the safety systems did intervene once or twice

Onto the afternoon and the Bently Course, this was a much more searching course that required more skill than just balls out and foot down, it was vey tight through the turns with little room for error again the GTR shaded it but Logan was more that pleased that he had taken great lumps out of last years times.

Russ has got rid of the old barge suspension and looked to corner pretty flat though he did complain of a lack of grip particlarly underr breaking.

At the end of the day we were treated to the sight of the Vulcan Bomber flying overhead with a escort of 2 VC 10 Tankers, rather poigniant really with the advent of the GTR being admitted into B5 are we seeing the begining of the end of quick cars that r3ly on driving ability for the de-skilling due to electronic intervention I for one hope not but then I am a bit long in the tooth and still like Caterams

Sorry for the rambling but it really was a great day
