Hmm, I would suspect that if you had holed a piston then it wouldn't run properly on 4 cylinders, but I am not an expert :!:

Let me know how you get on, are you taking it to Zak's for some diagnostics :?:

Not good. Cant be down on power though if you ran 2nd in class? Have you run a diagnostic check?

The pistons can burn down the edge of the ring land and lose compression that way. Of course I could be very wrong but these engines do run on 3 and a bit. Pavlo ran a very quick time at TOTB with one piston down.

I'll do a compression test before anything. I've been trying to contact Zak for over a week, on another matter, and can't get hold of him.

Andy, second in class (out of three) doesn't mean much when you look at how quick Mike B went :D There was a lot of time to be gained all round the place. But not by me :D

Adjusting the KWs is dead easy btw. 2mm allen key in the top of the rod and 4mm key in the bottom of the strut. Clicks are not easy to feel or hear but there's only two turns from full soft to full hard. HTH

Ive got a suitable compression gauge if you need one, fingers crossed it isnt that.

Did you notice the difference after adjusting the shocks?

I have a tester thanks Andy, just no time to use it.

The shocks were better on the softer setting

Thanks Eddy. I was looking forward to Weds to do some testing.

Try the rally slicks back to back with the 888s.
Try a few damper settings.
Finally see whether the oil temp gauge still shows silly temps now that the sensor is replaced. :)

Stu ran in both our cars at MLR, he had some thoughts about grip between the slicks and the RE070s, worth asking his opinion.

Would be interesting to get his views. Maybe he'll be good enough to post on here.

That said, your 070s aren't really representative of the breed. :D

BTW did you get my PM Andy?
