Trev, get yourself to Cornwall for a good time with your mates while the rest of us get soaked at a miserable NW. Blacky wants the numbers so he gets more champ points for B19.

Cornwall for a win win situation :D

Gerry, what have I done to upset you???

Can't win the B19 anyway seeing as I missed out Bentwaters...

Had a great day at NW yesterday. The Dax was bloody fantastic and such a pleasure to drive. Unfortunately, despite a baffled sump it may have suffered oil surge. No engine knocking that I can hear but the oil pressure has dropped from 40ish to high teens. There's also a very nasty metallic clonk from the rear suspension.

And the RX-8 is out of the equation as the clutch is slipping

If you are booked in mr H, i would offer you a double drive in `ol yella, But if you were to beat me i`d be so upset!:cuss:
Would you see the funny side if i said "you should get yourself something more reliable, like a scooby!":D - seriously though if you do get stuck, and want to run and promise to go easy on the old gal, you are welcome to doulbe drive?

All I can find as a source of the 'clonk' is the adjustable perch nuts are loose and allowing the springs to wave in the wind.

Oil pressure is a bit more of a concern. First things to check are the sender unit and digi dash for accuracy.

I don't think it's worth bothering with the C5 Russ. Shame as it's a great car, when it's running OK but the expense and aggro of replacing the turbo is too much to contemplate :)
