Berg Cup 2012- Eschdorf report (media heavy)
I always have reservations about going back and trying to repeat an experience like this. My first trip to the Nurburgring in 2006 was superb- the return trip in 2007 was a let down in many ways (even allowing for some great driving, good laughs and Gareth's company). Our first trip to Luxembourg last year was unrepeatable. Every facet of the trip was just about perfect, so a return this year was bound to fail in terms of measuring up. The surprise of the cars filling the village was gone. The quality of the camping site and value for money was no longer something out of the blue. The standard of the food and quantity on offer was expected this time around as opposed to mind blowing last year; I could go on, but I'm sure you get the gist of it.
Hand on heart, the only way I can see me making a return trip is if Mike and Trev compete, or if Felix Pailer enters in his Integrale. Beyond that I'll be looking to visit one of the German rounds next year for a change of venue, some new cars and some new experiences.

Joking aside, a meaningful trip to Japan has to be several thousand pounds Gareth. Eschdorf for 6 days was around
