Wasn't it a BMW last year, a certain Mr. Bartfest?

Had some serious stresses today, car decided to play up last night on teh way back home from Surrey, but a mssive thanks to Gary at APT for helping me today, after 3 hrs of chaging stuff and diagnostics on teh dyno it was found to be the air filter stopping the car from boosting and making it splutter and run really lean :o :o :o :x

So see you chaps in the mornng!

just got back and it certainly is a fast one
well done kim for the b3 win and logan for a very close second
gerry also for a second in d8 and not far behind mike blackmores tasty subaru
i did not have a very good time today after my fairly quick speed spin in first run and smashing through one of the markers side on, thankfully no body/mechanical damage suprisingly, also lost a spring on my clutch pedal so one min it was high then was low which made things intresting, anyway enough of my racing excuses basically i done crap

good to see the usual regulars aswell

Nice one TK, good to see you out today, even with your spin you were straight back on it.

Kim didn't win in the end as he missed the gate at the bottom hairpin so even tho his time was awesome it didn't count, so I ended up with the win. Bit of a hollow victory as Kim's last run was very very quick :!: And if he had made the gate he would of beaten me easily. Think his cycle round at lunch helped...

On the fun run I reckon I worked out where he gained his time tho as on the Power FC I ended up with a top speed over 5mph more than on previous runs.

Just home and knackered after the 4am alarm :o

Good to see everyone. These events really are fast becoming a social gathering with at least six BP members present. :thumb:

Great day although I only got one run without an inter cooler pipe joiner blowing apart. Absolutel delighted to come second to Mike Blackmore as it's the closest to his time I've ever managed at 1.3 secs. :D

I'll beat him one day if only I can get under his bonnet without being seen

Well done Logan & Kim. Bloody quick times.

And I'm the prat that threw it away...

That is the second time this season when I have pushed too hard when I could have backed off a little and still got the job done. I think I need sector times or something. The really irritating thing is my 4WO lost me time...

Really pleased with the 88s and if I had too lose I'd rather it be that way than I was not just fast enough. That's if I had to lose and that's not why I do this...

Brilliant times Logan. A proper battle with big lumps of time being taken off each run. If you had not been pushing me I would not have gone so hard myself. All credit to you. I just hope a cheap modern Evo does not come up on eBay and that 'er in drawers needs a steady supply of diamonds...

Good effort Gerry - Mike is proper quick - and Trev had, shall we say, a character building day. As for Andy I hope he never gets the farmer's wagon right 'cos it will be awesome when he does.

I have weekend off now - Cambridge beer festival and my other passion - then its Pembrey followed by Lydden then Abingdon.

New thread on who's doing what as sprints are close to becoming BP meet?

I suppose the main thing is we all drove home in 1 piece! I have to say I am reasonably chuffed to be doing times so close to you Kim as you no doubt have loads more experience than me and as you say, I have an old Evo, which is obviously a lesser car

Don't think Lindsay would be chuffed if i bought another car, need to fix my broken one first and put some cash back in the bank for the wedding diamonds so your safe for a while :!:

It was a good track yesterday, nice to have a very quick one in contrast to the others I have done this year, its all character building and experience for me for my driving and learning to pilot the Evo.

The impressive thing I found was the times we were doing in B3 were beating lots of other cars in other classes, eg GT3 cup and some single seaters, this is all in a road going car with normal tyres and DVD players in them!!!! My friend Tristan who was with me took so picturs so I'll get them posted up tomorrow.

Alos, a very well done to Uncle Gerry, as his time was very good and he wasn't far off Mr Blackmore in his tasty 22b replica Impreza which is seriously quick, it just seemed to make time out of the corners, seriously impressive bit of kit!

I'm looking forward to Abingdon now where I'm sure it will be tight again between a few of the b3 class.

Car now needs a service again! Bloomin fancy diffs :!: :D
