I'm not sure but I think so. Can't imagine Subaru using different spec. pistons for different markets, in what's essentially the same engine. But stranger things have happened.

I'd been putting off going for more power pending the coming lottery win allowing me to go for the forged internals, eh Blacky?

Interesting stuff chaps :D

Only reason mine is all sooped up is it broke...otherwise it would still be all standard :D

With a lottery win I think I might spend my money on more extravagant stuff than a new engine.....

I believe (and am told) that the ECU in the 06 is good enough to wind it back should det be problem. So long as the mapping and fuelling is good I am confident that 400+ wont be a problem.

but ..... if it goes, it goes - but it will be fun while it lasts :D

No problems fitting the box but delays due to another car eating into the time.

Never mind. All's well that ends well :-D

Mmmmm PPG box 8)

Well, tested fitted my new wheels with teh RE070's on this morning, first thing was to clean the wheels, this is where it all started to go wrong, I found out the Rays sticker saying 8x17" ET38..oh dear :o :( So immediately I knew they wouldn't fit, but tried tehm on anyway, well one postive is it looked awesome.....sat there :!: But as soon as I drove down my lane and hit the tinest bump the rears caught the arches, as the tyres sit flush with the outside of the rear wing, maybe would have been okay with an ET48 instead....but then maybe the tyres would have rubbed the suspension struts.

Damn :!:

So, not sure what to do, sell the RE070's on and then try some 215/40 tyres on, as with the ET38 offset I should see a bit more stabilty as they are 10mm wider each side, but will this size tyres fit and not rub :? :? Or do I re-sell the wheels on, as they are multi fitment, 4x100, 4x 114.3 and 5x100.

I think they are probably one of my favourite wheels tho....so arrgghh not sure :!:

Looks like the Sprint at Goodwood will be done with the ole Goodyear F1's again tho, was looking forward to trying the "super" 1A tyre :!:

Some 22B style wheel arch extensions would look great.

Bit radical just to fit some RE070's on Gerry

Think I a tempted to get my 215/40 Goodyears changed from my Work wheels to the Rays and see if they fit...then make a decision, if they do i will keep the rims and wait for next years blue book to see if the Yoko Prada's are available on the 1a list, or if they change our class to 1b tyres like what was rumoured.... :? :?
