Thanks everyone involved. And esp Stu for getting my car there. It was a great event, and I feel so much better for getting out on a track again. It is easy to forget how fun the Silvia is when you havent driven it yet this year.

Now I just need a find a new gearbox after 3rd gear went missing after teh 5th lap. "Drift" brakes proved to not be up a real track, but the car surprised me by how well it went in a straight line. I must use it for more real trackdays.

Great event well organised Stuart

Standard of driving was good with so few hold ups due to offs, the scooby ran wellbut the brakes were just about giving up by the end of the evening so I was very pleased to see Fast Eddie with the Yellow Stuff.

I am going yo give these a try at the next Track Day or sprint but I think I will also need to fit uprated discs at some stage when I get a bit quicker

Great cup of tea frm Mrs GN even if it was about 2 months three wekks and five days late but who is counting

Excellent afternoon / evening.

Here's a quick selection of a few pics, it's going to take a while to sort through all the ones I took today...

Tiredness prevents lengthy waffle about the night :)

Thanks for a great event. Another big success for the club and all involved with it.

A very high standard of driving overall with a few M3 shaped exceptions (and for once it wasn't me)

Mr Votier and guests will need to check with me before you'll be invited to any more events. Some silly stuff (under taking etc) mixed with some bloody daft incidents ( diving in when the car has already started to turn in for the corner) A shame but Alastair with the race licence should have know better. For race control to mention the driving standards to me at a private event, it must be bad.

Moan over.

Well done. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks to Nik and Jam for helping. Thanks also to Alan from Toyo. I think he was very helpful and I hope you guys thought so too.

Great evening guys had a fantastic time. The 2 was on the button tonight can't wait till can sort the suspension and uprate it from standard as I think would make so much difference.
Last session was awesome after the chewing gum incident in the 2nd one!! Who'd of thought a piece of chewing gum on your throttle pedal would make so much difference!!

What a great blast :) Big grin time. Had awesome fun learning where to brake and how to get the most out of it round the corners,

Shame the car didnt enjoy it as much as me, had to knock the boost back after the first couple of laps as it started to miss on full boost. Then it got rather warm (testified to by my rather melty looking rear bumper) so i had to back off down the main straight to keep the temps under control, and finally on the trip home it managed a whopping 2psi of boost, think it may have finally reached the end of its rather long hard life.

Top moments going through the chicane checked the mirror to see if i needed to move over on to the main straight to see RPS13 coming sideways out of the chicane behind me

Again Again Again

:D

Some pics of session 3 : http://picasaweb.google.com/maff667/Big ... ettJune09# including Mr Staples going rather sideways  As always if you want full size versions of any of the pics, just yell.

Just got back after a brilliant afternoon and evening of fun.
Thanks to all those involved in organising and helping the event run so smoothly, it really was a credit to those responsible.
A great mixture of cars and a really friendly atmosphere.
Glad I ran in the novice class though, the other class was impressive but way out of my league.
A definite plus point that the classes were separate from my perspective, but then maybe with 100 more BHP and some more talent who knows.
Lastly thanks to Gerry and Stuart for my pax laps, sorry I messed your corner weighting up Gerry, it seemed to help Stuarts CSL!
Till next time :D

Brilliant evening thanks to Stu et al for sorting another superb event.

Excellent standard of driving with only a couple not getting out of the way and causing a rolling roadblock. Maybe the Highways Agency are missing a couple of star performers?

Sorry your pax rde was only brief Rob but I really thought something had come adrift underneath, little did I know the cause was you :o

I thought Alan from Toyo was a real boon and learned an enormous amount about pressures & temps and what to do about them. He's going to mail some of his info sheets so if anyone wants a copy, pm your email address and I'll send them.

Great to have made it to this one! I'm sorry I had to show up in my uniform but I didn't want to miss anymore than I already had. Thanks Stu for the pax lap, I can now cross "a near death experience" off of my "things to do before I die" list  Only kidding big guy, your driving was impeccable and the car really surprised me! :-D Apart from the "boys", I really enjoyed tailing Bealo for a while!!

Everyone seemed to have a good time as I didn't see many frowns running about! Also, the food was amazing! I'll have to make it to another one to get one more of those meat pie thingys!

Great to catch up with all that I spoke to and hope that Gary's Evo wasn't as bad as it looked.

Thanks again guys! :-D :-D
