i assume the gobstoper 1 or 2 is not there ?
No mate, the Gobstopper in either form nor Mr Clark were around. I can only think that the late addition Mr Clark was the guy with the lovely two tone FC3 pictured above on the trailer

Best of luck to all those taking part
Thanks Jason. It was bloody hard work trying to keep up with things and enjoy myself! Writing and getting pictures would be a doddle if I didn't want to watch the Civic race, the club class, club pro and stay up to date with times etc

I do enjoy the write ups and having the circuits help with Wi-fi access has really made a difference

And it starts all again tomorrow............

For time reference, Jason Plato managed a 1.56.6 in his BTCC round here in August, so the quickest guy in club pro (1.57) is already biting at his ankles and that's on semi-slick tyres!!

i bet the club pro guy has a shed load more power than a restricted bttc car though, not taking anything away from time attack guys :)

Dead right mate, he probably did. But I also imagine that MG spent a few more quid developing their car over and above the dude with the Lotus.

Some of the TA cars were impressive and some were shockingly ordinary. The disparity of the TA stuff, the difference in performance between 'rivals' is mad. You only have to look at a 1600 Civic doing a 17 compared to many cars with well over 500hp getting nowhere near this time (both cars on similar tyres). By the owner's admission, the very best Civic was a 12k car. I reckon some of the club TA cars spend 12k on fuel in a season :)
