can anyone tell me if CIK/fia suits are ok for sprints there no mention of them in the blue book so if anyone can tell us that'd be great... :grin:

Hello Simmi, not sure what material you refer to but if it is FIA approved then it should be ok for MAS events such as sprinting, I used a 1986 standard Nomex suit which was ok, and no reference was made to it being removed, the blue book indicates that the FIA Standard 1986 will not be approved for Racing from 01/01/10but this does not refer to being implemented in Sprint events. Another thorny issue being banded about is the withdrawl of Proban suits but the scrutineer at Sundays event said that this is only rumour and finally Helmets Russ and I had big problems with our spanking new helmets they are Sparco Club open face helmets they are to the correct BS but have blue label and should be Red hope this hasnt confused the issue Harry

cheers harry the ad says its msa legel but totally unsure has googling shows no form off fire resistants just wear resistant... my helmet is sound according to the reg's,

think im just going to go for a proban one seems the easiest option

Hello Simmi, fraid we will have to wait till Abingdon to cross wheels I am not doing Bentwaters but good luck give Russ and TK a run for their money but dont pay any attention to their excuses of broken seats and suspension is like a barge
