For those that want more of this we are running a track evening on the 8th August with mixed groups. This will actually benefit you as you can see the lines taken by the more experienced and learn from that.
BIG thank you to all who arranged and ran last nights event and to all those stuck behind me for being patient!
I had a fantastic time, car wasn't running quite as well as it should hence early pit stop half way round walk round lap  but meant Rich was more likely to get his car back in one piece :?
I feel alot more confident with the car, might run a mixed group next time, definately wouldn't do without this under my belt.
The whole purpose was to give the cautious more confidence and to give the confident a taster of how much fun they can have in a safe and controlled environment.
Does that mean all of you guys are gonna do the arrive and drive night in August>
Stuart and Duncan once again are well deserving of the pat on the back for organising such truly great events for our members to enjoy and take advantage of. I dont know any other club that does this much, so often, nor to such a high standard for a relatively small close knit group. I think it fookin brilliant. As for me Steve and Gary, well its pretty easy to just show up, take some newbies out and get a pat on the back , but its Stu and Dunc that made it so easy for us to help out.
I hope what I (we) said was helpful, and most importantly struck the right balance between highlighting some of the important and potentially risky bits without getting too formal and overbearing. Its a difficult balance to strike to just start talking about something like trackcraft without worrying the nervous to death or making the more confident feel invincible. The proof of the pudding was that we had no incidents and that everyone had fun. I certainly felt a touch of "parental concern" for those in my group and tried to make sure that I spoke to as many as possible between and after sessions to see they had enjoyed themselves. All I heard back was how excited and happy everyone was and how much they had enjoyed it - which is the main thing.
So well do you lot - and well done to Big Power for another cracking event to make the meets that much more special.
Looking forward to July now already !!!

I have issues !!! ....I used to be average, now I reminisce !!!
thanks bp for a brilliant evening even though i didnt actually drive it was great chatting to you all and watching you all have fun i will definatly take part next time now i know what is involved, well done bp it was a ace day :woohoo:
Well i shall echo everyone else's sentiments..............
Big well done to all involved especially stuart and duncan for makeing the evening run so smoothly, have to say i was very impressed with the way it was run, very professional.
I would not have done a trackday if it wasn't for an event like this which has opened my eyes and given me the confidence to think about another one. I think it was fabulous to be able to learn how to drive on a circuit without the worry of holding up and potentially pissing off the more seasoned veterans. I soon found out some of the limits of both myself and the limits of my car which will require attention before undertaking another of these events. But i certainly hope to do another.
Lastly it was great meeting so many new people and a huge thankyou to Tony aka Darkstars for letting me know of this event. :thumb:
A HUGE thank you to all at BP (especially Stuart for the advice and encouragement!) for putting together such a fantastic event. I hope everyone enjoyed their first blast on track as much as I did, which judging from all the big grins and positive feedback certainly seemed to be the case. Bladerider, I agree that the club is something special that these guys should be well proud of. Already looking forward to doing it again! Thanks also to the guys that posted such great pics.
