Yesterday was such a cracking day, the cars, people, atmosphere and even down to the class aerial performance at lunchtime. Plus it was exactly what BP needed - a huge publicity injection and from what I saw the public certainly enjoyed it. :D  Obligatory thanks goes to Stu for setting this up and securing that hallowed ground inside the paddock. Another thanks to Team Extreme for binging such a hardcore collection of cars and the ex-BAR lorry. An thanks to everyone else who turned up on the day. Was great to catch up with everyone. Viva la BigPower.

Oh, and now I'm looking at Impreza wagons. Thanks.

After what was a worryingly slow start to the day (3 passengers for Gary, 1 for Logan before lunch- the steep prices didn't appear to be helping), the arrival of the sun seemed to kick everything into life and the pair of them were running constantly until the 4pm end, with only some minor brake judder issues which we believe was down to the sprint pads leaving deposits on the discs.

I only managed to get over to the BP stand once in the end, and I've got to say- it looked epic! A real credit to everyone who brought their cars along and Mr Staples' hard work in organising everything. I think the renewed enthusiam can only mean greater things are on the horizon for 2013. ;)

Thanks Dan :) Gary and Logan just looked like permanent fixtures from what I heard, repeatedly lapping all afternoon. I hope 2013 is better and more active for the club. It's certainly not for the want of trying.

Yeah, small block Chevy (not sure of displacement) with two sodding great turbos on there. It's about to receive a massive overhaul and will end up with one turbo instead so you can expect even bigger things from the car and owner next year

Brilliant Day after a very slow morning.
I do think the prices need tweaking for next year but overall a great day all round!

Its brillaint fun taking out passengers that have never been in a racecar or on circuit before! They all seems to love it!

Did the pricing structure change in the afternoon then? I know at one point that the organisers stopped taking payments due to concerns about non-fulfilment of rides @ about 2pm. (They started again once the queues had cleared)

I went there to try to get ride at about 1:30-2pm and they had stopped I then returned at 3pm and they were only taking the expensive rides

I went to get a burger at lunch time which took half an hour! When I got back I had a que of people waiting for me, ops! The morning was dead but after lunch it went bonkers. The que was right back past the 100 sign-in tent.
