No shit sir! Your car looked properly planted through the twisty bitsBIGBIMMA wrote: MY GOD does my car handle now , with the suspension now sorted , tracking done properly and the lovely negative camber that i am now running it sticks to the road now like camel shit on a hot day .
i can now carry so much more corner speed that i really have to be brutal with the car to get it out of shape.

Well, me and Andy had a great day.
I wasn't on top form as I had a bit of man flu again, but had fun all the same. I missed the sighting laps but the layout was much the same as previous years. The only change was a few more cones to tighten up some of the corners, including the long one onto the back straight. I did two slowish laps to familiarise myself with the layout and get some heat into the tyres, and found I was turning to early into that long corner, so on my third lap I held it out later... perhaps too late in retrospect
and ran straight through about ten cones!! Andy removed two flattened cones from under the car and the marshall put the rest back while we went round to the pits to check the car. Luckily there was no major damage and a few cable ties later it was all fine (and lighter as I seemed to be missing an arch liner which the marshall kindly returned later). After that little incident I set out again and built up slowly, as I began getting quicker, the rain came and I found the r888s were slipping everywhere so I pitted and waited for more favourable conditions.
In the afternoon it was spitting with rain intermittantly but the track was drying out quite well, except for a couple of areas of standing water. I gathered more speed through each of the corners and was finding the limits of the grip. I had an interesting time following a blue fiesta which spun in front of me on the long corner - will post vids later - and nearly sent me sideways as well. As the track dried out more Andy took my car out for a few laps and he was having a riot in it. It's interesting being passenger in your own car to see other peoples lines/entry speeds into corners. He was very quick in my car and every lap as we approached the pit would say "I'll just have one more lap..." I didn't mind as he seemed to be getting more out of it than I could this time round. When we pitted it began raining again and we decided to call it a day.
I haven't got any more track days until August so I'm going to strip the rest of the arch linings/undertray and other useless crap off the car before then and there will be less stuff to lose on track.
Big thanks to Ben for organising it for us all and obviously all at RAF Marham for a cracking day.

Andy in rear wheel drive!!
Joking aside, he can drive well enough but man size power and power to the back must have been a laugh for him!
