Snetterton was class - cant believe i did that in a 3 week old car :D

but heyho, no damage done and huge smiles all day long :D :D

for anyone that worries about damage Snetterton is probably the best starter as there is loads of run off area and you never get pressured into driving faster than you want to..... love it :D

I enjoyed the Honnington & Coltishall days but Snetterton was a different level all together.
Brands is a bit of a trek but it is a track I would really love to drive. It might be a good idea to make a weekend of it, Sat night social in a hotel or B&B and some track action on the sun??

Out of all the days I've done, Honnington was by far the best fun - my preference is the airfield type day - I find tracks a bit expensive if you hit an armco :)

slightly off topic, but oakington is now classed as a "dead circuit". its fallen into disrepair and will soon be bulldozed to build houses on.

i went to a trackday day earlier in the year and the surface is absolutely awful. the only good portion of the track is about 30 seconds worth of flat concrete. see short video here - http://andrewmcc.com/faster.wmv

i think for trackdays that are held at a venue which isnt too local, it should be made into a weekend type event. so the day before the racing, we treat it as a social event, BBQ, camping and having a lot of fun, either on the circuit grounds or on a site nearby. then in the morning, prep the cars and have fun.
lets be honest, its no fun getting up at 5am to drive 3 hours for a trackday :)

I've driven brands (indy) and marham.

would really like to do snet next year.

Brands is a fair trek and fairly expensive.

Group event at Snett sounds good; and obvious one because of location, but it's harder on brakes than most.

Didn't do Marham, but I thought Coltishall was brilliant and Honington nearly as good. Definitely want to do those again if they choose to run them.

Really looking forward to Cadwell this Sunday. Love that circuit on a bike, but I'll reserve judgement as far as the car is concerned til after Sunday(regarding the narrower circuits generally). In same vein as Cadwell, I really want to do Oulton sometime; on a bike it's like Cadwell on steroids.

Another localish one for many would be Rockingham, but have only been there on a bike so far.

This winter it looks like Donington will be running their usual

Snetterton was a great circuit for all levels IMO - loads of run off so no danger of damage unless you are way beyond your level of ability :)

Cadwell looks great - as you say, will reserve judgement til after sunday :)

Rockingham .... mmm looks a nice twisty circuit with a good mixture of corners. Hopefully this will still be part of Time Attack 2007 (there are a few of us that will be entering this :) )

Donny .. the noise check might rule most out unfortunately :(

Honington - superb.... wasnt planning on running there but couldnt resist it after a few pax laps with Stu. Jim C frequents here and I am sure we could get another day running there without too much difficulty either as a dedicated BigPower day or jointly with others.

Brands Hatch - have done close to 100 laps there myself and love it but as you say it can be expensive.

Spa - will try and tie this into a Ring Trip as there are so close it would be rude not :D

Oulton - nice circuit, I remember going there when I was about 6 or 7 years old (a hell of a long time ago) and was good to watch.
