Cheers buddy! No need for sensors til I get the ECU powered back up. Just got to find offending relay/fuse/wire!

Pah, if you were a true racer, you'd just run a wire straight from battery +12V to the ECU

That said, most racers do have extinguishers close to hand for when the wire melts and sets fire to everything...

On reflection, probably best not to do that :lol: hope you can get it fixed for the weekend!

Those were the days when you could 'hot wire' a car by running a +12v to the coil and push the button on the starter solenoid of non pre-engaged starter motors.

Then 'electronics' appeared and it all went downhill from then

Ok, think I got it. Its the main relay, which is a bugger to get to. Naturally Subaru want to compare codes with IM and will get back to me in a week (or not at all in my experience). Anyone got a pre96 scoob they dont mind having immobile for Sunday
