Many thanks for a well organised evening, the fiat coupe held up well for the hole 25mins and so did my wife who had her first experience in the passenger seat, and loved every minute of it. Cant wait for the next one perhaps at a different track this time.
Cheers.

Cheers Dunk. I definitely felt an improvement in my driving from the virgin's day in speed and smoothness so that was good.

On a slightly more depressing note my investigation of the oil in the engine bay has come to an expensive initial conclusion. I'll post a new thread about it though.

Cheers,
Alex

A good night - thanks to all involved in organising it.

After 25 mins, my Clio was like a microwave oven; both Alex and I were being slowly roasted by the 3.0l engine behind us.

Great organisation, as always - thanks Stuart.

Was fun to do in the new STi4, currently standard, but wish I'd put proper tyres on it. I was 'using up' some old T1S and they were slippy everywhere. Last time out in the old car I had slicks on, so I had to recalibrate a little :o

cheers

A superb evening and probably one of my favourite BigPower events to date.

After a bit of a disapointing time in the last arrive and drive event that was held at snetterton due to me driving like a twat and spinning off the track at 20mph i did not have much confidence going round snetterton quickly due to the damp conditions that day, oh how that changed in the nice heat we had yesterday evening!! Is it just me or can anyone else only enjoy driving their car in hot dry weather??

As has been said previously i cant stress enough just how valueable it is going round with one of the Snetteron Jedis as a passenger to pick up the lines and braking points etc, it helped me so much going round for a session with Duncan, needless to say though mate i did not follow the line you took round corum on one lap where we exited the corner about 30MPH to quickly!!! :o Well recovered with a nice 4 wheel drift for the camera's though mate!!! 8)

As for my session i went out on the track with the intention of taking it easy, that soon changed after 2 warm up laps though and i gradually learned the track a bit and pushed the car harder and harder as time went on, i was doing roughly 8 fast laps to 1 slow cool down lap which seemed to work fine for me, unfortunately one of my cool down laps got cut shot by Rex overtaking me with a lick of flame from the exhaust so i just had to follow in pursuit!! Unfortunately i did not have the skill or level of car to keep up with him but it was fun while it lasted!! 8)

Stu your oil temps seem to be fine mate, i was reaching 120 degrees and i have a oil cooler on my car.

Is there any chance of getting another arrive and drive night/day in before the crappy weather comes in?

Another very successfull and great fun night organised by Big Power, Thanks.

Another very enjoyable BP evening. Congratulations and thanks to the organising team, both BP & Snett. for a superb job. Also thanks to those I passed and was passed by for being observant and courteous, it makes such a big difference to being with a bunch of tw@ts.

Stuart, the briefing was very professional. I didn't realise you are so swan-like. Calm and serene on the surface while paddling frantically below :D

Sorry to Rolty for messing up the only complete pax lap. Next time, I'll take more care.

Big respect to Buttercup who, after having done only the virgin's evening came along, on her own, to mix it with you lot. Big thanks to Matt for jumping in with her, as pax for a few laps and to Stu who I'd roped in to give her some instruction. It obviously worked as from an initial nervousness, very soon, whenever I saw her on track, she looked confident and very competent. Sorry I didn't get to chat afterwards, but I think you disappeared early.

Looking forward to the next one :thumb:

A brilliant evening and huge thanks to Stuart for his great instruction - it made a massive difference and by my final session I was loving every second. I floated home! :D

And thank you to Gerry for sorting out my helpers, Matt for jumping in with me for a few laps, letting me tag a lift with him AND finding my driving licence which I somehow managed to misplace.

Planning and very much looking forward to my next time out. :D
