Liz has asked me to convey her thanks to Stu, Dunk and the Snetterton Team for an excellent, well organised and administered introduction to track driving. Also thanks to Bladey who explained racing lines, braking marker boards and the significance of the cones to good effect.

She's now tucked up in bed, having slept most of the way home

Great to meet some of you guys again and some for the first time.

Thanks also from me as it helped Liz understand what all the fuss is about 8)

All in all, a great evening.

Rachel would like to say that she had a great time once the track stuff was finished with :D

Seriously though, I reckon she enjoyed it, even though she doesnt realise yet as it is wrapped up in fear and adrenaline. From the passenger seat it felt very good and despite holding a couple of people up for a little while (Dr Death - please dont sit up people's bumpers ... it is a little distracting) she held her lines well most of the time.

She is very thankful to have been given the chance to drive on a virgins only session - i dont think I could have ever persuaded her to do this on a mixed group session.

She did manage to hit 1.5 bar of boost and bounced it off the rev limiter too :o .... until I politely asked her not to ;)

Fantastic that everyone enjoyed it - I certainly did :D

Who's up for the Track Evening in August then now that you have popped your cherries ? 8)

It was a great day and thoroughly enjoyed, and i would just like to say that i thought Rachel did very well when i was behind her in the first session, initially i thought it was Dunk driving but following Rachels lines really helped me out and learnt a lot.
Once again great day and well done to the organisers and those that took part! see you all soon.

Very pleased with the feedback, really makes the effort worthwhile :notworthy:

I was delighted to meet so many new people too, sometimes I/we get so busy organising things that I don't have time for the important bit (meeting you lot :D )

My personal thanks to James, Steve and Gary for their help in spreading their wealth of knowledge and guiding their proteges around the track.

My father in law, Pete, is absolutely bouncing off of the walls at the moment so his addiction is well under way.

I was very pleased that the vast majority of people used their common sense whilst out there. It is all too easy to forget that there are enormous risks involved when driving fast, let alone in close proximity to other new guys too.

I look forward to the next one.

A big thank you to the BP team for a well organised event, eased the crippling nerves somewhat, and to Gerry for the loan of a helmet.

Shame my car broke on pretty much the first few laps - sorry to anyone I held up whilst desperately trying to find some (ANY) power.

Stu - I still maintain that since my track day wasn't fully consummated I am still a virgin.

Is this a slippery slope?
