Hi James, the TZR250 is an old-school 2-stroke which still has a well-supported grid at club level. However it's far more popular to start on a 600, with separate novice and experienced classes. The main club in the south is Bemsee, with various smaller clubs dotted around (I raced with Bemsee, Derby Phoenix and Andreas MC on the Isle of Man), also I gather MSV have started running some beginner races recently.

Beware though, it's highly addictive.
