Logan I've just had an invite to do Lydden (well Sevenoaks Motor CLub have been invited) A couple of questions you might be able ot help with:

Can class G run Both List 1A & 1B tyres or just list 1As???
The time table shows a morning of practice, then an afternoon of timed runs. So minimum 5 practice runs AM, then minimum 5 timed runs PM.
Anything out of the ordinary in the regs from what MSA events are like? It looks like a door "number card" is issued by the organisers.

Thanks for any help

Hey Russell

-Class G can run any tyres you want!
-Yup, minimun 10 runs, but normall there are 16, 8 practice and 8 Timed.
-Door numbers are supplied.
-You get a sighting lap.
-Also there will be Tyre support if you need wheels and tyres changing, they also for a small charge hire out rally slicks for the day.
-You are allowed passengers, they just need to sign on and have a helmet.

So, hopefully see you in 2 weeks! No reason not too, loads better value than the MSA rounds there!
I bet you can show a few Evo's up as well which will no doubt please you!

Cheers

Logan

Sounds good, got a couple of small issues to sort on the car, but should hopefully get them fixed & i'll be along, Jim (my dad) might be up for it in his TR8 too.

As per the overlay on the map are they going to run around the short hairpin, rather than the full circuit??

Beating Evo's - Pigs might fly springs to mind!!!!! I will be trying though!

You dont have to wear your MSA suit either but you can..

Crash helmets and arms and legs covered only!

They are running as per the picture on the thread, missing out the up hill long straight, but it will be one and a half laps. :D

As for beating Evo's. What car you driving?

Should be good to see how the Celica gets on, but not expecting any miracles it's 17 years old & very mechanical.
I do like Lydden, but haven't been there for a while, it's under an hour from me. I got beat by an Evo X last time I was there but only on his last run. Image
I did go well at a drying Brands Hatch by best result against Evo's, but was only 1 drying run followed by a wet one. I managed to only get beaten by 1 of 4 Evo's that day :) had it not been for the tankslapper out of Paddock you'd have beaten me Logan.

I have a mate who has a 2007 Impreza WRX STI 2500cc who may also come out and play, so i'll atleast have something to go head to head with.

Anymore fancy having a go?

Its a good day out, well organised in fact the best organisation there is...

Worth a look whatever vehicle you have.

PLUS, No licence's, No race suits, no beam breakers, and you dont even need any numbers for your car as they are supplied!!

These events run like clockwork, large TV to see all results and live timings.

I can't make this one but I might come along for a round of this either in the gtir or mk1
i'v not got my licence this year or anything to go msa
so this might be ideal until next year
