Hi guys,

May be coming to Cadwell tomorrow so advise from you Cadwell hoars please.

Just wondered what the surface is like and what top speeds are gained on the fastest part of the circuit comparted to say Snetterton so i can make tyre/gearing choice.
Metro tops out at 110 MPH genuine ate Snetterton. I don't suppose Cadwell will be quite as quick in comparison.

The surface is of a very high standard overall, as you would expect as BSB race there. Several areas of the track are well under cover of overhanging trees so you can expect far less grip through there early in the morning and if it has rained.

In terms of speeds, off of the top of my head I've indicated 125mph+ on Park straight and about 115/120 going on the start/finish straight before a little lift and turning into Coppice. For reference, Betty shows around 140mph @ Snetterton but I dare say all of those speeds are optimistic

I would think your Metro would be very good around there Eddy; lots of locals drive tuned 205's for similar reasons with good power to weight and sharp responses.

Tyre choice? Bring whatever you want as I've run everything from R888's to cheapo's. Just beware understeer here; if there are simple things that you can do to reduce this, do so.

Just indecided on tyres as i now have 3 sets of wheels and four sets of tyres od different compound/profile.

If i come i will see you in the morning. Hopefully i will be able to share a garage with one of us to put some tools etc in.

Here's a data log from my last visit. Max seems to be around 110 mph in the 328i.
