It was noted by the marshals in the reports, I looked into it earlier when i saw your first post and it was brought in and checked out like you said. It was then cleared and then released. It wouldn't have been let out on circuit if it was pysically dropping oil. The circuit was slippy all day, and the day prior, that we cant change.

Unfortunately we cant just black flag and stop every car that smoking because if we did there would be hardly any cars on circuit in reality and alot of annoyed customers. All i can do is apologise on behalf of the circuit and am sorry that you feel the way you do. :(

The guys out there on post are extremely observant and have prevented hundered of accidents because of their awareness and saved alot of peoples car before they've gone bang. I myself included as i occasionally marshall, usually on the BP track evenings and have helped quite a few of you out on circuit with incidents.

Dont be put off by this evening.. we will be running more open pit lane evenings, and looking to structure them next year too with days for novice & advanced drivers too..

Eddy, the briefings are lengthy, and especially boring for those who have done loads but unfortunately they have to be done as a legal requirement..

Your comment about it being expensive is noted and not the first..ill break it down for you as to why its charged like it is..

James

Thanks for your reply and this is the first issue i have had with you guys at Snett since i started doing trackdays many moons a go and i feel you all do a top job.

IMO the big Jag was dropping oil on the track. The amount of blue smoke that was coming out of the back of it must have been leaving an oil film on the track.
