?? Everything seems to have started?

Post by carlosrex »

Guys,

wanted to have a go in the JISC this year - i thought i had plenty of time left but it seems things have already started?

Ive got my car sorted and my MSA license through. Helmet and overalls are here also - but my letter to join harrow car club got sent back saying they were no longer at that address?

As i understand it now all i have to do is register with HCC and then register for some events and compete? Can someone please confirm this is the case?

If so, how do i join harrow car club? Does anyone have an updated address for them? I got it from club racer. Also, is there a link to the registration for the rounds of the JISC? How does this all work, post your registration or fill in an online form?

Sorry for all the questions!

Hopefully see you at one of the rounds soon...

Hi Carlos

yes the AEMC and JISC are different championships.

If you want to enter the 2nd round of the JISC then PM Sprint Chief on here about joining HCC anf JISC and see if he is going to the Bentawaters event on the 18th, if so you can join the club and championship on the day.

Otherwsie you have everything sorted as long as you have a timing strut sorted.

I say get your entry in for the 2nd round and we will see you there :D

Thanks for the help guys, i've PM'ed Sprint Chief.

One question re: the timing strut - do you have to have a front number plate AND a timing strut?

Its just that my number plate on my car is fixed in pretty much the only place the timing strut can go (as it has to be on the front of the car, central - and proud from the bumper doesnt it?)

I was going to use my front number plate frame to attatch a piece of plastic or similar for the front panel of the timing strut, but do i also need to retain the front plate?

Does anyone have any pictures of any timing struts? it was my understanding that they had to be like a square bit at the front, but looking at the below - thats not the case. Should i be making something like this?

Thanks

Carl

You don't need the front numberplate, and yes it needs to look like the ones on your link, read your MSA Blue book as the sizes are in there that you need to to be.
