Just as another FYI, the route i take:
E40 alllllllll the way until you reach i think junction 37 for monscheau/eupen
follow the N67 to monschau
go through monschau until you see signs for the 258 towards
get on the 258 toward kesselchen/schleiden
youll then come to a junction with the E29/B51, do a left here i think then back on the 258 to blankenheim (its a bit of a funny turning here, i had to go up the road then turn round and come back, i think you need to do a left off the 258 then down the E29 then a right back onto the 258, but its right turn only so you have to turn right, go up, turn round come back)
after this youll be back on the 258 and youll drive straight past the nurburgring. I find this the shortest and most direct route but not necessarily the quickest. It is however the most fun due to some killer hill climbs and mountain hairpins and when you have a convoy of cars with walkie talkies its brilliant as you can radio when its safe to overtake etc.

Saturday 12th April VLN update
Sadly Sabine was involved in a racing accident on Saturday; she was taken by helicopter to hospital. We have no more information at present.
..............................................
The VLN update of the Porsche Cup car 766, featured in our Press Release, now has the new Nurburgmotorsport sticker on the front of the car for our sponsorship (they did it because they said we were so helpful to them and for free which was nice particularly as it normally costs sponsors 2,500 euro!)
The car got up to fifth place after the first pit racing stop ever! It completed 11 laps when a major gearbox problem - it completely exploded! So they are back at our garage at Quiddelbach (their temporary home) and the gearbox is out again (another late night for us all) pending a replacement or re-build. The outside casing is now in four bits, the inside looks like someone has taken a hammer to it and it has been taken to a specialist gearbox for reports and investigation.

We stayed at Hotel am Tiergarten. Sabines family run it, the restaurant is very reasonably priced, and they do the steaks on the stone (Gorgeous!)
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a flat in "Sabines House" just along the road from the main hotel, and we had two twin rooms with TV's, a huge Bathroom with walk in shower, and breakfast thrown in. Four of us stayed for 2 nights inc breakfast for 380 euro's.
We'll be back there in August most likely. Oh, and it's 2 minutes from the track.
